tattoo!

So here it is.... It's nearly healed up now. I am going back on Sat. to get shading done, and then I will have to do the whole healing up process again. But I like it a lot. :)

Thanks for your post. :) I like it too. Ya, there's a lot of personal symbolism in it for me. The orchid with five petals is symbolic of the pentagram, which is a traditional symbol for feminine spirituality. so it's like a personal goddess thing for me. also embracing my sexuality and the "feminine" aspects of my personality. I also got it on my lower left back, to remind me to act more on my "left"/creative side. One more thing is that I recently had a little girl, and I am getting the tattoo as a promise to myself to remember who I am and continue to grow as a person, besides being a nurturer of the people in my life. So I am pretty stoked about it. The sparrows sounds cool...does that also have a symbolism?

I also got it a little bit big, bigger than I am comfortable with, so that I will remember to be as big as I am, even if it makes me or other people a little uncomfortable. :)
